Day of the Dead or Halloween Craft Idea
Have you decided on your Halloween costumes yet??? It is always such a fun part of Halloween, but you know we really love the crafting just a bit more than costumes!!! And glitter makes our crafts way more sparkly, shiny, and fun. We are still in full Halloween crafting mode to try to avoid going crazy with Christmas crafting. We really can't wait, but we will a little longer.
This week we want to share a really fun Day of the Dead style Halloween coffin craft. It even lights up, or could be used as a trinket or gift box. We went with a simple purple and black design, but you could really get creative and add more colors.

Supplies
Our coffin came with a super cute light! You can add a tea light to a simple wooden one or go with out a light if you prefer.
You will need a few basic supplies to get started:
1. unfinished wood coffin shape
2. Paint
3. Glitter
4. Mod Podge
5. Paint Brushes
Instructions
Let's get crafting.
1. Paint the coffin, inside and out, If using multiple colors, allow to dry between colors.
2. After completely dry add glitter. Use mod podge to cover one color and sprinkle glitter over the mod podge. Allow to dry.
3. Repeat with other colors. We did the purple on the skeleton face and black on the rest. If wanting to add more color details work color by color and allowing to dry in between.
Finishing the Look
To finish the look add spooky skeleton hands using our resin mold.
Display it by turning on the light and watching it glow in the dark.
Hide special candy treats inside and gift to a friend. Or add other spooky accents!
