How to Make a Glittered Flower Pot
The great Mother's Day crafts continue! Today we are sharing how to make a glittered flower pot. One of the best things about this adorable glitter flower pot is that it can be used in so many ways!!! We are sharing all of our great ideas for filling this flower pot! And they are more than just plants😉. Make one or make a set of varying sizes in matching or coordinating colors.
Mix, match, and try different glitters, and colors on any size of terra cotta pot. I love that you can really make them your own with designs and glitters. Add vinyl decals for an extra personalized touch too! Worried about glitter shed? No sweat. Seal that glitter in and you are all set!
They are perfect for indoor or outdoor plants too. Think how our glitter would sparkle brilliantly in the sun! I can see it now, stunning! Supplies
You will need a few basic supplies to get started:
1. Glitter
2. Mod Podge
3. Paint Brushes
4. Tape
5. Terra Cotta pots`
Instructions
Time to add some glam to your flower pots.
1. Pick out your pot and glitters (we used our Mother's Day Pack). Paint pot white.
2. Tape off an area where you want to put the glitter.
3. Paint on a thin layer of mod podge.
4. Sprinkle on glitter.
5. Allow to completely dry.
6. Repeat with other sections as needed.
7. After completely dried, paint another thin layer of mod podge to seal in the glitter and avoid glitter shedding.
There are so many ways to add glitter to these pots. We did the rim in one color and then created a color block pattern.
But it could also be fun to do stripes, or a solid color. Or get fancy with diagonal lines too. Or only add glitter to the rim or bottom of the pot.
