Custom Glittery Straw Topper Tutorial

Did you snag one of our subscription boxes? If you didn't, be sure to get on our subscription box list for the next month, you won't want to miss it. Each box is full of glittery goodness that can include a silicone mold or other craft item. In one of our previous boxes a mold was included to create a Christmas tree straw topper. We want to show you how to assemble it, it is really easy and turns out so cute!

Imagine adding a cute Christmas tree to all of your tumblers, now you can. After you've made all of the pieces, we will show you how to assemble it. It might seem tricky at first, but we will walk you through it.

The great thing about this project is that it could be used with red and green for Christmas, or given a more snowy white or blue color for the winter months. And think of how many great holiday and seasonal tumblers the topper can be mixed and matched with for a whole new custom tumbler look. Think of the gorgeous possibilities.

Supplies

You will need these items to complete this tutorial:

1. All four pieces made using the mold, glitter of your choice.

2. Super glue

After your resin has set up, you can begin this project with the above supplies.

Instructions

1. Start by laying out your pieces. Take one of the half tree pieces and super glue it to one side of one full tree. Be sure to line it up perfectly. Allow to set up for 10 minutes.

2. Repeat on the other side. Allow glue to set up for 10 minutes.

3. Glue the other full tree piece to the tree with the half pieces that is already glued together.

4. Allow the super glue to set up for 24 hours before using.

Tip: Don't use too much superglue to avoid it seeping out of the sides when attaching pieces.

Finishing the Look

After your topper glue has set up completely, it's time to use this cute tree to adorn your favorite tumbler straw! Simply slide it onto your straw before inserting into your tumbler.

Enjoy your beautiful cup and drink!
